  Message from the Manageress

Hello, my name is Hélène Trublin-Savoye,
Manageress of the Aberôtel Montparnasse.

Welcome to our Internet site. I hope that our wide range of services will help you to enjoy your stay. The district of Montparnasse is surrounded by Luxembourg Gardens and lies between the 6th, the 14th and the 15th districts, stretching as far as Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

In former times, the border of Paris, defined by Louis XIV, used to be Boulevard du Montparnasse and the Mont Parnasse has always been a site where people used to gather to have fun. At the start of the century it was a popular and lively district and with its railway station which serves the Western region of France, it was the gateway to Paris for Bretons who came to the capital to make their fortune. We will advise you about the monuments, excursions, shows, restaurants and shopping opportunities to suit your centres of interest and your budget.

Sometimes, the addresses we recommend are slightly off the beaten track, but we know them personally and we will be delighted to share them with you: the “Bal Nègre” on Rue Blomet, the famous cabaret where Josephine Baker used to perform in the 1930s, the Orthodox church on Rue Pétel, the Sunday blessing of animals at the church on Rue Miollis, the “La Ruche” workshops on Rue de Dantzig, which was the nursery for new talent from the Ecole de Paris, with painters such as Chagall, Soutine, Modiglian and Vlaminck. Everything we do is intended to help you to enjoy many magical moments in Paris, the City of Lights. We know how to take care of you and how to greet you with traditional, warm Parisian hospitality.

I look forward to seeing you very soon. Hélène Trublin-Savoye
